ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS
Other opportunities for Lander Wesley students to get involved and
to participate in activities and programs:
Emerge @ Lupo. This is
Lupo Memorial UMC's
midweek worship opportunity. It's a time for praise and worship
music, prayer and a directed Bible Study. Emerge meets on
Wednesdays from 7-8 PM. Refreshments and a nursery are provided.
100-Hour Challenge. During this semester,
Lander Wesley Students are challenged to give a total of 100 hours or
more of service to ministries and missions in the local area.
There are numerous missions and ministry opportunities available,
including Project WARM.
Church visits. Our Goal is to have visits to
four area churches this semester. Your primary function is to
attend the primary worship service and to hand out information on
Lander Wesley to those who are in attendance. If you are
interested in representing LWF in this way, let Pastor Dean know.
Ongoing Study. Throughout this semester, Lander
Wesley's TRANSFORM programs will focus on the book, "unChristian."
This book is the product of an extensive survey of young adults on
their views of and attitudes toward the church. This program
will give us the opportunity to talk about some of the biggest reasons
that young people and young adults struggle to be a part of a
community of faith.
Volunteers Needed. Throughout the semester, I would
like to have a series of student breaks in which Lander Wesley
students provide free snacks on campus. Let me know which days
you can help with this giveaway.
